Annoying Symptoms: Birth Control or Just My Body?

22nd. May, 2013 | 07:53 pm
posted by: nightmer in vaginapagina

Details: I'm 24, was on the Minipill for 3.5 years (almost continuously), no known hormonal issues (no obvious signs of PCOS or anything).  Occasionally get migraines but also ovarian cysts so I'm on the fence about using a combined pill.

When I started the POP I had no real side effects.  But I've noticed my libido seemed to be lowered over the last half a year.  My periods have also been a bit heavier and crampier, and I've noticed more dark hair growing on my chin/nipples (which started a little when I first began the minipill).  About 3 months ago, my pharmacy switched me to a different generic of my pill, and I spent the month as a PMS-y emotional mess, but my libido ramped up, which made me think none of the versions of the minipill were agreeing with me as well as they used to.  Switched back to my old generic, still felt not so great, so I decided to change things.

I switched to Tri Sprintec (a combined pill) a week or so ago, and since then I've felt mostly the same.  I was on my period when I switched but 6 days after it ended, I'm still getting mild but constant cramps.  I plan to try this pill for a few months but it still seems strange.

Has anyone else suddenly started having side effects to a birth control you'd been on for an extended period of time?  I'm curious if all the symptoms are more likely related to my birth control, something awry with with my reproductive system, or just things changing as I get older.

First Time Missed Period

22nd. May, 2013 | 08:53 pm
posted by: retr0h in vaginapagina

I need this lovely community's advice. I am sort of on edge about this.
I am a 20 year old cisfemale, and for the month of May, have missed my period for the first time since I started my period. A little background on my cycle, it is usually unbearably heavy. I use overnight pads during the day to make myself comfortable (I'm gonna try to change to divacups soon!) and have mild cramping. My period also usually lasts anywhere from 7-9 days. I used to be on birth control (Loestrine) exactly a year ago but have stopped since I've been a little lazy to make an appointment to refill the prescription.
Now, I have missed my period for the first time this month (May) and it has me stressed out. I have never, ever, missed a period. I was worried I was pregnant but:
1. there was no penetration, just sort of dry humping ('cause I'm paranoid) but he did get some semen on my butt, which could have gotten into my vagina(?). This happened late April, probably around the 26th?
2. I've taken 3 pregnancy tests. 2 about a week ago which came out negative (I dipped the test in a cup of urine) and one yesterday which also came out negative (again, dipped it in a cup of urine).

My last period (that I recall) was April 7th but I'm not 100% sure. This situation has made me freak out so much I actually downloaded a menstruation app on my phone so I can track it because jeez, I've never been so scared. At least with an app, I can make sure its late/early.
I'm just at a loss. I guess it could be that I was a little stressed about finals but I've had times where I was a lot more stressed than this and I still had no problems with my period being regular.
I guess my questions are;

Can there be such a thing as a wrong reading on the pregnancy test? What are some signs of pregnancy? Can I do anything to make sure this does not happen again?

Also, I'm waiting until June 7th to contact my doctor for an exam. Since I'm not 100% sure when my period started/ended in April, June 7th would be a whole month, that I know for sure, I went without a period.

Hello there guys!
I've been watching this community for some time, and now decided to share some of my works with you. I work with wool, make felt, and love it so much. Even though it's summertime now, here in England the weather is so moody you can never tell when you might need a woollen scarf :-)

I've made these things recently from raw undyed wool, as a part of my eco-friendly collection. I love working with raw wool as well as sheep and alpaca fleece.

Help Finding a Better Fitting Cup

22nd. May, 2013 | 06:45 pm
posted by: k_alyson in menstrual_cups

Hi, I'm new so I hope I'm posting this right...I need some help finding a more comfortable fitting cup. Currently, I have the Diva size 1, as I'm 30 years old and have no children. I've been trying to use the Diva cup but it keeps becoming uncomfortable to wear even after a few hours of wearing it comfortably. So I was looking to purchase either the Lunette or the MeLuna but I need some advice on which one to get.

I put the Diva in right as I started my period and it was comfortable to wear (minus the stem, which I can trim later) but about 6 hours after inserting it, I felt it pop and lots of suction which starting hurting and giving me discomfort/pain to the point where I had to remove the cup. I never felt the cup open when I initially inserted it but I ran my finger around the rim to make sure it was open and the whole time I had it in the cup did not leak at all (so based on what I have been reading here, I assumed it was open). So at that point, I emptied it, turned the cup inside out thinking it might have been too long (based on LJ again and the fact that when I had it in before, the right way out, the bottom of the cup didn't go in quite all the way), re-inserted the cup (didn't feel the pop then either) and went to bed. The cup was comfortable to wear all night (no leakage) until early in the morning, when I felt that pop and the suction/discomfort start again while still laying in bed. So I had to removed and reinsert the cup again (I kept the cup inside out). But this time, the pop and suction started right after I put it back in. So this time I took it out and left it out because my parts were starting to get a bit sore at this point. I tried again the following day (cup still inside out) and had that suction/discomfort start as soon as I put it in.

So now I'm beginning to think I may need a different, shorter cup. But I'm not sure which one to get. The cup doesn't bother me at all until that pop/suction happens, then I'm not sure if it's the suction or if my cervix likes to sit low and the cup is bumping up against it that is causing the discomfort. But that's what it feels like once the pop and suction happens. My cervix is easy to reach but not as low as some others on here have described. But I'm still wondering if the Diva cup is too long, even after I turned it inside out. So now I'm considering either the Lunette or MeLuna. But I'm concerned that Lunette still might be too long since it's about the same length as the Diva turned inside out. So I was considering the MeLuna instead but I'm not sure if I should get the classic or the soft (and what size) since I don't know if the firmness of the cup is causing the discomfort. I'm worried that if I get the soft it might not open, but on the other hand, I'm worried that the classic would be too firm which would cause that discomfort again, as well as be too hard to insert.

So, is it the suction and/or firmness of the cup causing the discomfort or is it just too long? Should I try the Lunette or MeLuna? And what size and firmness?

Hi @ everybody!
I am watching this community for one week now and I am really amazed of the fantastic work I am finding here! I found this community while searching for ideas what to make for my kids. I am an elementary teacher (and the best proof that not every teacher is gifted when it comes to crafting) and I was searching for ideas for little presents because I am leaving the school. It´s a tradition that kids that are leaving my class (my second graders - the first graders are staying) get a self-made present from me. Now that I am the one leaving every kid gets something which means much work since I have 22 cuties in my class.
Two years ago I made little animals out of pearls and last year I made about 20 pigs (for my kids, friends and family). It´s nothing compared to your work but I feel like sharing. Remember: I am a beginner and not as talented as I wish I was. Pics are under the cut.
Once more congratulations of all your amazing works!!!

I have a Mooncup size B which is coming to the end of it's life (10 years old)

Obviously I'm 10 years older now which firmly puts me into size A territory but age is just a number :-)

Wondering whether I should get a straight like for like replacement, go for a bigger size or try something else completely.

I don't have problems with leakage but I do have a v. heavy flow so something with more capacity is tempting however during my period, especially towards the beginning, my cervix sits very low so not sure I'm going to be able to balance the two requirements.

I sometimes have issues with getting my current cup to pop open although I suspect this might be due to the age of my current mooncup so I'm not sure whether a softer cup would work for me but I also find my current cup can press on my bladder so maybe a softer cup would be worth a try?

All thoughts appreciated

Mirena: Sudden Period Disappearance + My Vagina Smells Weird

22nd. May, 2013 | 03:21 pm
posted by: dkwgdk in vaginapagina

(cross-posted to iud-divas)

Hi y'all -- So I've reached two years with my Mirena, which has thus far been a GREAT experience.  I got it to help manage my out-of-control periods and, while I still definitely had a period, it was way easier to cope with than previously.  I can actually sleep through the night and make it through a college lecture without bleeding through multiple forms of protection!  Woot!

My question is "Where is my period and why do I smell strange?"  According to the calendar, i should be having my period right now.  My period has stayed very, very regular on the Mirena, and it's been regular pretty much since I was 17...I'm now 35.  However, I had a couple of days of spotting (Sunday and Monday) and now?  No period.  My last period was completely normal for me, including the bleeding requiring super-absorbent tampons, etc. In other words, it didn't show signs of fading into oblivion.  In addition, at the moment I have a small amount of unusual-smelling discharge and overall just a sweatier-smelling crotch. I keep trying to figure out how to describe the smell -- I think it's mostly very metallic, and the discharge definitely tastes more metallic than usual.  My normal taste is ranges from practically non-existent to very salty mushrooms, so this is a new one. It also doesn't seem to change if I consume more water  I haven't been really aroused since having this problem, so I can't tell if producing lubrication changes the smell.

What do you think is up with this?  I could go to the clinic to get tested for BV, but it will take a few days to sort that out.  Also, I wouldn't really describe the odor as 'fishy,' which I think is what you typically get with BV. If I'm wrong, please let me know?

One possible explanation for the vanishing period is a massive increase in Vitamin E consumption.  I normally take about 1,000 mg of Vitamin E a day to help lighten my period, but in the past couple of weeks i've started eating a lot of chia seed.  Because it's high in Omega-3, I'm now up to about 3,000mg of Omega-3s a day.  I wonder if the elevated levels were what my body needed to respond to the Mirena like other folks who just lose their periods on it. But...still.  It's odd.  I guess it's also possible that the chia is changing my smell, but I've really only noticed it in the past couple of days.

Thanks!

NB: I've only had sex with condoms in the past month, and I took a pregnancy test and am not pregnant.  I'll retest in a few days just to be sure, but I don't think that's the explanation.

Stiffness comparison: Help me figure this out!

I have narrowed it down to 3 brands. Lunette, Fleurcup and Meluna. I have looked at about 3 stiffness charts and they all seem to differ a bit. I have also gotten personal reviews from friends. As well as watched and read reviews of each cup. Some think the small lunette is firmer than the small fleurcup. Others say its the other way around. I have looked on youtube as well and no one had done a stiffness video.

Of which of these is the stiffest? The softest?

Small & Large Lunette vs Small & Large Fleurcup vs Medium & Large Soft Meluna

This morning I woke up with a plan to go get EC, but lo and behold, my period arrived. I know you can still get pregnant on your period, so should I still go grab some EC?  Thanks in advance!

AGUS cells, Colposcopy, Etc.

22nd. May, 2013 | 12:56 am
posted by: ma2760 in vaginapagina

Hi all,

I was hoping you could help me understand what's going on and what questions I need to ask to be take care of my health. Hopefully I have all these details correct, I don't have a copy of my medical record (I do want to get one) but hopefully this is everything...

In summer 2010 I had my first abnormal pap smear. It showed up as atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US). I had a follow up pap that winter, and I believe that is said endocervical cells (I may be incorrect on the type of cells) were not present (they said cells they like to see on a pap smear didn't show up, it wasn't that there were atypical cells this time). They advised me to have another pap smear, which I did in June 2011. I did, and once again they found ASC-US. I had a colposcopy, which they said showed the best result possible.

I had a follow-up pap in January 2012. Normal. I had a follow-up pap in June 2012. Abnormal. They did another colpo and an endocervical curettage (ECC). My colpo they didn't find anything to worry about, but the ECC was concerning. Another abnormal pap smear in December (AGUS), they told me I'd need another colpo in May, which was today.

My doctor has been going over my case with a pathologist and another specialist (apparently he's one of the people that actually writes the guidelines for treatment nationally...) and they saying my results are "incongruent," with my pap is alternating between normal and abnormal and my colpo being normal and my ECC showing up with abnormal cells. If there are abnormal results this round, they will likely do a LEEP.

Anything I should know? Is there anything I should be asking my doctor? For the first time today, I read AGUS cells can (though rarely) be associated with cancer other than cervical cancer. Should I be asking for tests for other sorts of cancer (Ovarian, Fallopian, etc?).

I've really tried to stay sane about this all. I know cervical cancer is very slow moving, the chance of me having cervical cancer is very slim, and even if I did, it would most likely still be in the very early, treatable stages. However, the AGUS does scare me a little.

Any thoughts?

FWIW, I completed my Gardasil when I was 23. I'm 27 now.

Lessons I've Learned

21st. May, 2013 | 03:18 pm
posted by: oatmeal_pie in menstrual_cups

I'm a relative newbie to menstrual cups. This community has helped me tremendously, and I know my first time wouldn't have been so successful without y'all. Here's what I've learned:

1. INSERTION - The more complicated the fold, the springier the cup will be, so the easier it will be to pop open. My favorite is the half diamond (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cdc3VaVgJM). It's the smallest fold I've found, and it pops open consistently. As many other posters have noted, insert the cup with the diamond facing down and push straight back.

2. STEM - If the stem is bothering you, do some kegels and push the cup up as far as it'll comfortably go. Is the stem still bothering you? Can you remove the cup by grabbing the base, not the stem? Then remove the cup, wash it, and trim down the stem with clean scissors or nail clippers. Repeat. I ended up cutting the stem off my Lunette Selene size 1 completely. There was no way I could've made it through a whole day, let alone a whole cycle, with that thing.

3. C-FOLD REMOVAL - The first couple of times removing my cup hurt like hell. Then I tried folding the cup as I removed it, and it was much better. Grab the cup by the base and pinch to release the suction. Then pull out slowly, pinching the cup into a C-fold. (Make the C point up, unlike when you insert it.) That way the cup is smaller for removal. I usually manage to do this without spilling by bringing the base down so the cup is upright and letting it come open upon removal.

4. CLEANING - When you're at home, remove the cup and wash it with warm water and baby shampoo or non-antibiotic hand soap. To clean out the holes, fill the cup with warm water, cover the top with your hand, and flip it over. Squeeze the cup to push water out through the holes. It's OK to remove the cup, wipe it carefully with TP, and reinsert it if you're in a public restroom. Just be sure to clean it thoroughly when you get home. At the end of your cycle, boil the cup for 10 minutes. Leave it out in the sun for a day or two if it smells funny. Then put it back in its pouch or in a non-airtight container until your next cycle.

Most of these tips are summaries of what others have shared on this site, but I believe the C-fold removal is new. Enjoy!

I am 24 years old and never given birth. I have Endometriosis and a tilted uterus that tilts back towards my spine. I have a relatively normal cervix length. I currently use the Instead Soft cups. I like them but I dont feel they are secure enough. The amount of firmness to the ring is near perfect but they can pop out with a sneeze easily. I know that the Diva cup is out of the running because it is longer than the length of my vaginal canal. I am wanting to stay under $30 as well. I have a really light flow now due to my Depo Provera but I would want something that could hold a moderate flow to slightly heavy flow.

Cups I have narrowed it down to:
Medium Meluna
Small Lunette
Small FleurCup

delay period for wedding?

posted by: funkyfresh in vaginapagina

I think I did my math right, and if so, I'm set to get my period smack dab on my vacation in august. I get It ever 26-28 days and on August 6-13 I'm headed to California for my cousins wedding. Is REALLY like to have my period and be done with it by the 6th, after the 12/13th... but according to my calculations I could (WILL) get it anywhere between then. Other then birth control, is there any way to prevent these tragic events from occurring lol.. or if hbc Isthe only way, how can I assure that I don't get my period then? I've been on hbc before and hated the side effects but if it's only for one month I may be able to deal... please help! Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Here's a little more info: if my next 2 cycles are 26 days each, I'm set to get my period August 7-12. If they're all 27 days, I'll have it Aug 10-15. and if they're all 28 days (my last two were but who knows if it's a trend or what) I'd get it Aug 13-18 which is best case scenario but with my luck will be least likely. We are going to Cali August 6-13.

Mu Shu Jackfruit Lettuce Wraps

Excuse the short introduction to this recipe, but I’m packing my bags and heading to Portland, Oregon, to hobnob with the vegan and famous at Vida Vegan Con. I’ll be giving a food photography presentation, speaking about blog monetization with Nava Atlas, and participating in a panel on privacy and oversharing with Dreena Burton, Joanna Vaught, and Sayward Rebhal. Plus, I’ll be having dinner with friend and fellow blogger Maria, so I’m beyond excited. Daughter E is coming along as my “assistant” (camera bag bearer), so if you’re there, please don’t hesitate to come up to us and tell her that you remember when she was little bitty and wore glasses (she loves that, honest!)

traveling with boric acid

I have BV going on right now and I'm treating it with boric acid. I can tell I need at least a few more days of it but I'm getting on a plane to travel to a different state tomorrow. I might just be paranoid, but will I run into problems traveling with boric acid? It's white powder in capsules, I mean... that just looks suspicious lol and I would much rather not get stopped and questioned. Anyway, does anyone know of any precautions I should take to make this go over smoothly? Thanks.

Hello! I'm a rather new sewer, having mastered things like purses and PJ pants, and I'm having my hand at Barbie clothes for my niece right now. I've made a few successful things so far!

I'm making Dress A from McCall's M6258 (link below), and I've got the bodice all sewn together (It was in 8 panels). Now that I'm looking to attach the straps, though, the instructions threw me a curve ball (my commentary in parentheses).

"Pin ends of strap to upper edge of bodice, centering over squares. baste. (No problems here) For lining, prepare remaining bodice sections in same manner, disregarding reference to straps for View A (???). Pin lining to bodice, having right sides together and matching seams. stitch along upper and left back opening edge, pivoting at small circle (which I have marked). Clip to small circle. UNDERSTITCH lining."

I'm confused because there seem to be no remaining bodice sections left. I can cut out more, certainly, but the lining part throws me. Am I just going to make another copy of the bodice and sew them together right sides facing each other? What's going on?

Thanks so much in advance.

After intercourse bleeding?

20th. May, 2013 | 11:45 pm
posted by: smallestfairy in vaginapagina

Ok, just some basics - i've only "been with" one guy, the guy i'm currently dating right now and he's been with other girls before me but gets tested for stds on the regular when he was "around", i take birth control at the same time every single day, i've never missed and only been late by MAX an hour (i'm obsessed) and i'm much too paranoid to even on top of that, have sex without a condom, so we're on birth control AND use condoms every time. Recently i started a new form of birth control. i used to be on a 3 month type, but now i'm on the kind that you get a period every month. but my obgyn told me that if i wanted, i could skip the sugar pills if i wanted to still have my 3 months regime, i was only planning on having a 2 month regime this time simply because my period would have started the first week of summer and i didn't want to be bloaty and gross feeling at the beach, so that means i'm on my 5th week of birth control pills on a pill pack that is "designed" for 3 weeks of birth control and then a placebo week. does that make sense? anyways! Earlier today we were having sex and it was like usual, tralala, and then after it was over i went to the bathroom and wiped and noticed some bright red blood coming out (only when i wiped, not dripping) of my vagina. it was about quarter sized at first and then i just stayed in the bathroom until it stopped bleeding which really didn't take but a few minutes. and since it didn't look like period blood, i just assumed that it might have been a cut/tear on the inside from something, i dont know. i dont remember the sex being particularly rough or that i was particularly dry or anything, but whatever. about an hour or two later, i went to the bathroom again and noticed brownish period-looking blood in my underwear. it was almost as if i had JUST started my period (i'm a week away from the placebo pills) it was not like brown mixed with discharge, it was brownish blood that you usually get in the beginning or end of a period. it was enough to cover the bottom of my underwear, but it appeared as if the "blood" had already stopped flowing since it didn't look too wet or anything. and that was the last that i saw of it.
i've never had spotting or breakthrough bleeding on birth control and i'm BEYOND paranoid. i'm just wondering what this could possibly be and if i need to get a morning after pill just in case?
sorry if i sound like a rambling mess, i dont want to worry myself sick thinking i'm pregnant or something of that nature if i don't need to, but i also would like to be as educated as possible. i can't seem to find any answers that sound like my situation.
thank you! xoxo

Cycle/Conception Questions

20th. May, 2013 | 09:17 pm
posted by: calyxia in vaginapagina

Hello all you fantastic VPers! Having a little confusion about my menstrual cycle, and hoping someone can help me out. So, I had my Mirena removed 4/19. I had it almost 4 years, it was awesome. I also haven't had a period since I got it, either, back in September 2009. I have also been on some kind of hormonal contraception since 1997. All that said, I had it removed in order to conceive. May 5, I was 99.9% sure I ovulated due to pain in the right ovarian side and cervical mucus at the time that was EWCM. I took a few pregnancy tests (dollar store cheapies as well as some EPT that were on sale), all negative, and got what I am pretty sure is my period, today. Which means that I was most likely right about 5/5 being ovulation, since this is 15 days later. (The reason I say "pretty sure" about my period, that is because it's REALLY really light, and I want to be all "implantation bleeding yay" but I'm 99% sure it's actually a period.) So, tests negative, fairly sure of ovulation...boils down to: when trying to plan via calendar and also various apps for this, it often wants to know your length of cycle. Well, I don't know for sure, as I have no "prior period" to use. Since the ovulation-to-period time was "average" (which we all know "average" doesn't mean jack), can I figure that it would likely be an entirely "average" cycle? Therefore, when should I theoretically expect to ovulate again, do you all think? I'm just trying to be proactive at this point, and I know it's not able to be predicted with total accuracy but any thoughts would be helpful. I've been reading and searching the web but I also know VP almost always has an answer or a place to look, at least. Thank you everyone!

MMMMonday! Bra sizing (as a feminist issue).

t's MMMMonday! Each Monday, we bring you special, maintainer-curated content intended to enrich your VP experience. Please note that you can find past MMMMonday posts using the "mmmmonday" tag.

Also, a quick reminder about the other places you can find VP: vp_bulletins for local announcements; contact_vp for questions and feedback on the way VP is run; the Vulvapedia for basic questions; and don't forget about our sibling community over on Dreamwidth!

I stumbled upon this piece and thought it was a perspective that might be interesting to our members: Why I Believe Bra-Fitting is a Feminist Issue.

An excerpt:
"On a somewhat similar note, I feel bra sizing can play a huge role in body acceptance. I feel that accepting that you should wear (for example) a 30HH, rather than a 36DD, can be one of the biggest things you can do when it comes to accepting your body. Women are constantly told they need to be smaller, to be daintier, to take up less space, and bra sizing hasn’t escaped this."

If you want to share, what is your bra size? Have you always worn the correct size for you? What has your experience with bra sizing been like? How does bra size affect your feelings about your breasts? Do you agree that bra sizing is a feminist issue? You're invited to share any thoughts on the piece, these questions, or whatever in the comments!

sore nipples and...extreme thirst?

20th. May, 2013 | 03:18 pm
posted by: teenagehate2 in vaginapagina

For the past two weeks my nipples (not the actual breasts) have been really sore! Like, if something brushes against them, the pain is really strong and feels like someone is pinching them as hard as they can. I've also been constantly thirsty, which is weird becaus e I'm not a big water drinker. I've also been really tired and not feeling like myself. Its kinda like getting up in the morning and feeling groggy before having a cup of coffee. But this super tired feeling I can't shake no matter how much coffee or redbull I drink or how much I slept. Anybody know of anything that can cause these things? I'm not sure if they're all related or not. The extreme thirst is probably the strangest symptom.

I took plan B 3 times. March 4th, April 4th, & April 6th. My last 3 periods were February 23, march 24, & April 18th...now it's march 20th and I still don't have a period..but I have cramps. I have had sex in between April 18 and now. It was protected so I didn't take anything. I have taken 2 first response tests and one Walgreens test and all are negative. I've been feeling naseaus but I think that's because of being so worried! What do you guys think is going on? Is there still a chance I'm pregnant or do you think my cycle is just really messed up from plan B?

Help with my Transition Period

20th. May, 2013 | 12:18 pm
posted by: xcountry257 in no_poo

Tomorrow I will be no-pooing for 7 weeks. I like it so far for various reasons: great with my stingy budget, added some volume to my short/fine hair, and gives me loads of more time with not doing my hair. Unfortunately I seem to get so greasy so fast its discouraging.

My routine is: Sundays I travel to my moms house (she has a water softener) to wash my hair with a BS mixture (1 tbspn/cup water), ACV (same as BS), and finish off with a green tea rinse. I only do that once a week, and on Wednesdays I WO in my hard water apartment (but I have a filter that helps with chlorine and "other minerals") I have been doing this religiously for 7 weeks straight and by the Wednesday that I WO my hair is so crazy greasy that the WO barely helps hide it.

I HAVE TRIED:

Boiling the water I put in my mixtures (BS, ACV, Green Tea) . That got rid of my waxy feeling from my hard water instantly.

The boar bristle brush. It seems to not work as well as I thought it would, and I try to brush as much as a can with with it (cleaning it after each time I use it)

Using less Vinegar . Some people suggested in other posts that the ACV can add to greasiness and I've lessened it but I've seen no difference.

Various DIY Dry Shampoos. I've read a few blogs suggesting cocoa powder or cornstarch to help with some but it really doesn't help, it helps hide some grease but my hair still needed to be put in a pony tail/bun.

I've tried so many things and I guess by 7 weeks I was hoping that I could go maybe 4-5 days before I would have to resort to the pony tail/bun. Instead I'm going 2 days hair down and 5 days hair up. My transition period seems never ending...

I'm traveling to Europe soon and I was hoping to stick to my routine, but they only have hard water where I'm going. Does anybody have any suggestions? Help is much appreciated, thanks!
